Dibandingkan pendahulunya, tidak ada banyak perubahan pada Storm2. Hanya penambahan wi-fi, dukungan akses ke berbagai jaringan, dan improvisasi pada fitur SurePress di layar sentuhnya. Dengan perbaikan fitur tersebut, Storm2 diklaim akan memudahkan pengguna untuk lebih cepat mengetik di layar.

Hal tersebut karena Storm2 menggunakan teknologi baru pada layar sentuh berbasis sistem suspensi secara elektronik yang akan memberikan umpan balik lebih responsif. Selain itu, dengan fitur multitouch-nya, mengetik dengan keyboard virtual juga diklaim lebih akurat dan bisa lebih cepat karena saat salah satu jari menyentuh bagian layar, jari lainnya bisa tetap mengetik.

BlackBerry Storm2 memiliki layar 3,25 inci, dengan resolusi 360 x 480 piksel. Kemampuan kameranya sama dengan pendahulunya yakni 3,2 MP. Memorinya flash-nya 256 MB, atau dua kali lipat dari pendahulunya. Memori eksternal microSD yang disertakan juga dua kali lipat dari sebelumnya karena kini menjadi 2 GB.

The Toshiba mini NB205 is the first netbook (low-price, low-performance, ultraportable laptop) from Toshiba, but the design is certainly one of the most attractive we've seen in the netbook category. Toshiba offers the NB205 in multiple colors, but the silver and "Sable Brown" color combination in our review unit looks quite nice. The screen lid is made of thin textured plastic with the Toshiba logo front and center in silver metalic plastic. Toshiba engineers made the interesting choice of placing the power button in the middle of the screen hinge where it is exposed even when the netbook is closed. At first I was concerned this might not be the best position since it means the power button could be accidentally triggered inside a backpack or laptop case, but the button is disabled if the screen lid is closed.

Build quality was less than impressive despite the attractive exterior of the NB205. The thin plastics used in the construction of the chassis are prone to flex and the plastics make annoying "creaking" noises if you squeeze the netbook between your fingers. The full-size keyboard looks fantastic, but as soon as you apply typing pressure with your fingers you begin to feel the keyboard flex and bounce as you type. Unfortunately, the only area of the mini NB205 that feels nice and firm is the tension on the screen hinges.

Indosat menyatakan jumlah pemesan Blackberry Curve 8520 smartphone atau yang lebih dikenal dengan Gemini melalui website mencapai angka lebih dari 2.000 peminat.

Jumlah peminat Blackberry Gemini yang dibuka di www.indosat.com/blackberry_curve_8520 diperkirakan akan terus bertambah hingga 24 Oktober 2009.

"Permintaan pasar akan Blackberry di Indonesia yang signifikan semakin memacu kami untuk memberikan kemudahan bagi pelanggan ataupun calon pelanggan untuk mendapatkan Gemini melalui layanan pre-order melalui website Indosat", ujar Guntur S Siboro, Chief of Marketing Indosat, Selasa, (29/9/2009).

Indosat menawarkan Gemini dengan harga khusus hanya Rp3,4 juta selama masa pre-order via website dengan metode pembayaran melalui cicilan kartu kredit atau secara tunai.

Antusiame masyarakat menyambut kehadiran Gemini di Indonesia terlihat dengan banyaknya jumlah peminat yang memesan di sejumlah operator. Sebelumnya XL menyatakan dalam tiga hari jumlah pemesan telah mencapai kuota 1.000 orang.

Blackberry Bold 9700 ( Onyx ) Review

With so many existing and upcoming BlackBerry device models that look similar (yet different), it's becoming a bit confusing to differentiate at a glance between models. We have an upcoming article with our theory behind RIM's multiple device strategy, but in the meantime the big thing to note about Onyx is that's unassuming and slick form factor packs a ton of punch:

3G device - GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS (Bands: 850, 900, 1800, 1900)
480 by 360 display, beveled edges
256 megabytes of internal memory (same as Curve 8900, 8520)
1550mAh M-S1 battery (same as Bold)
3.2 megapixel camera, with flash and auto focus
Processor: Not 100% sure actually, but am hearing its a Tavor processor that may be running even a bit quicker than the Bold's 624MHz processor (definitely seems snappy)
GPS, WiFi (UMA capable but we'll see what happens there), and all the normal stuff you'd expect on a BlackBerry smartphone

Nokia Booklet 3G

Nokia tries to enter into the ultra mobile PC market with its own Nokia Booklet 3G. The market for UMPC's has recently experienced a surge and Nokia is eyeing to be right in the middle of it. Although much is left to be discovered about the specs of Nokia's new product, certain features have already been given out.

According to its press release, the Nokia Booklet 3G runs on the efficient Intel Atom processor. And with the various photos of the Nokia Booklet 3G, it certainly looks like a cool mini-laptop with is aluminum chassis with a slim design at just around two centimeters thin. It weights just a little over 1 kilogram and features a 10 inch HD ready display.

The new Nokia Booklet 3G also offers several wireless connectivity options. It supports 3G/HSPA as well as Wi-Fi connectivity. This mobile PC also has an HDMI port for HD video output. It also has an integrated Bluetooth support and its own SD card reader. It is said to also come with quite an impressive 12 hour battery life which would make it really attractive for people not wanting to frequently charge their UMPC's while on the go. Other important specifications as well as pricing have not yet been mentioned and may soon be made available come September according to the company's press release.
